Availability and readiness of emergency obstetric care in birthing centres in rural Nepal: A Cross-sectional Survey

Although key health personnel were available, Emergency Obstetric Care (EmOC) services at the health facilities assessed in rural Nepal were below the minimum coverage level recommended by the World Health Organisation, a recently published study on Maternal and Child Health Journal found.

Annual report of Department of Health Services 2074/75 (2017/2018)

The annual report of the Department of Health Services (DoHS) for fiscal year 2074/75 (2017/18) is the twenty-fourth consecutive report of its kind.

This report focuses on the objectives, targets and strategies adopted by Nepal’s health programmes and analyses their major achievements and highlights trends in service coverage over three fiscal years. This report also identifies issues, problems and constraints and suggests actions to be taken by health institutions for further improvements.
