World Population Day - 11 July 2018

World Population Day, which seeks to focus attention on the urgency and importance of population issues, was established by the then-Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989, an outgrowth of the interest generated by the Day of Five Billion, which was observed on 11 July 1987. The theme of 2018 is “Family Planning is a Human Right.”

International day of action for women's health - 28 May 2018

May 28 is the International Day of Action for Women’s Health declared in 1987 during a reunion of members of Women's Global Network for Reproductive Rights in Costa Rica. Since then, May 28 has been internationally renowned and activities are held worldwide by women’s and health groups. It is a great opportunity to remind the government leaders that Women’s Health Matters.
